I started in the funeral industry just before my 17th birthday in 1986 on a youth training scheme in Leicester.
I moved to Brighton in November 2009 and became a Manager of in independent funeral firm in Portslade.
I am now BTEC qualified with over 36 years experience in the funeral industry and a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.
I have many connections within the LGBTQI+ community and raise vital funds for many local charities.
In my spare time I enjoy walking along Brighton seafront and singing in the Brighton Gay Men's Chorus

- I will work carefully and diligently to ensure that your loved one is prepared appropriately and with the utmost care and attention to detail.
- If you're concerned about how to dress the deceased for a funeral, it's a great idea to check in with your funeral director to see what kinds of outfits are generally appropriate. Most people will opt for the final dress to be something formal or a favourite outfit of the deceased.
- The process of styling a deceased person's hair and applying makeup is an important part of preparing them for a chapel of rest visit The deceased person's hair will be washed and styled according to the family's wishes or cultural traditions. I often ask for a recent photo of the deceased which helps me prepare them for the chapel of rest.
- You can work with your funeral director if you have objections or concerns about how the deceased will be dressed and made up for their viewing. if you wish to be involved in this process then this is also possible. The main objective is to make the deceased appear as natural, peaceful, and well-groomed as possible. if you wish to be involved in this process then this is also possible
